Karibu Family Care was started by husband and wife team, Anthony and Amy Msowoya, as a nurse practitioner owned and operated primary care clinic to serve the health needs of North Peoria and the surrounding areas,
Our mission at Karibu Family Care is to always provide the type of care whereby a patient is not a number, but a person, and as such, deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, love, honesty, receptiveness, compassion and empathy while addressing the needs of mind, body and spirit.
As a family-oriented care practice, we value the personal, one-on-one provider-patient relationship that benefits both our adult and pediatric patients through providing continuous and consistent healthcare

Anthony msowoya, msn, fnp-c; co-owner
Anthony is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Anthony started his nursing career as an emergency department registered nurse at a large health center in Glendale, AZ. Anthony received his Masters in Advanced Nursing Practice from Grand Canyon University, and shortly thereafter provided family care at a community health center serving under-served populations in urban Phoenix.
Anthony and his beloved wife Amy opened Karibu Family Care in 2019 to provide evidence-based, patient-centered healthcare services, guidance and support for patients of all ages. It is their goal to be the care providers of choice for both adult and pediatric patients living in the West Valley.

Amy is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Amy began her nursing career as a pediatric home health nurse, cardiac nurse and clinical manager at a large urban health center in Glendale, AZ. Amy received both her Masters and Doctorate in Nursing Practice from The University of Arizona. Following her educational achievements, Amy started working at a family practice office in Anthem providing patient-centered and holistic care for patients of all ages, which is what she and her husband strive to do each day at Karibu Family Care!
In their free time, Amy and her beloved husband Anthony like to enjoy time with their daughters, Keziah and Zeriah, rescue black lab-mix, Nakia, go country and African dancing, hike, and watch football and basketball games. Go Suns! Go Cards!

We accept the following primary insurance carriers at this time:
For patients that do not have insurance, we offer the following self-pay rates for office visits:
New Patient Visit- $175.00*
Physical Exam- $150.00*
Existing Patient Visit- $100.00*
*Charges for additional in-office testing and/or procedures will be added to the self-pay visit charge as applicable, after discussion with the provider.
